What do you do when you are on a plane, bored, and wide awake? You go to the bathroom. That can usually eat up several minutes of the flight time. In fact, the Van Gogh-Goghs believe that your sojourn to the plane's necessary rooms is the best part of any trip on a commercial airplane. (See the "Prove Us Wrong" section of this web site if you disagree).

What do you do after that? You take a stroll through the SkyMall catalog, the savior of bored travelers! SkyMall is the "Whitman's Sampler" of catalog shopping, with every major mail-order house renting two to four pages per issue.

Everytime I fly the friendly skies, I smuggle a copy of SkyMall off the plane. I like to share with anyone who cares, some of the stupidest items you can waste your money on. Now I'm not judging YOU for buying stupid things, I'm only judging the stupid things. I'm in no position to scoff at those who purchase crap they don't need or will never use. I own a towel warmer, for goodness sakes.
