We're taking the first part of September off so that we can polish up our next

it will be at Masquer's Cabaret, a very hep and happening restaurant/club.

PLACE: Masquers Cabaret and Dinner Theater, 8334 W.
Third St., West Hollywood
TIME: 7:30 p.m. (curtain at 8 p.m.)

WEB SITE NEWS
Our grand new plan of updating the site once a week with new fun stuff is still
going on.
Who woulda thought we had the intestinal fortitude? Not us, that's for sure.
The new stuff includes:
* Dr. Sodas Guide <http://www.vgg.com/drsodas/index.html>:
A roadmap to the wonderful,
mystical, usually drinkable world of Dr. Pepper clones.
* The Smart Ladder <http://www.vgg.com/ladder.html>
lives! That's right, after more than a
year of non-updating, we're now keeping track of just how smart the Van Gogh-Goghs
really
are. Check it out, and make all the grief Alan gets from the other VGGs worth
it!
* New Prove Us Wrong <http://www.vgg.com/uswrong.html>:
The Van Gogh-Goghs believe
that an insincere laugh is just as good as a sincere laugh. And, based on what
we've heard from
others, you agree. Can you prove us wrong?
* The long-delayed (but worth it) Desert Scavenger Hunt
<http://www.vgg.com/scavenger/index.html>
is up! You can win a t-shirt, fun crap, and FREE
passes to EVERY Van Gogh-Gogh show! So fire up them brains and start looking.

WIN-A-SHIRT CONTEST
So, uh, last month nobody was able to guess the answer to our trivia question.
That question again
(for those of you who want to claim you knew all along) was: Who was Frank Bumstead.
And the
answer, of course, is that it was the name of William Hurt's character in the
not-all-that-bad-except-for-Kiefer
Sutherland flick "Dark City." Duh!
So this time, we'll make it a little easier. All you have to do is be the first
person who can tell us
how Lionel Simca spells "memorabilia." When you know it, email the answer, your
name and mailing
address, and shirt size to <thevggs@vgg.com>. Carry on, wayward sons and
daughters.
===
OK, WE'RE DONE
We're tired of writing. Why don't you do a little? Email your comments to thevggs@vgg.com.
See you next month.
