The Van Gogh-Goghs' DNC Pix 'n' Picks!
For four days this August, all of America's eyes turned to Los
Angeles. And not because there was a particularly interesting awards
show or anything. Oh no, in this case, America's eyes were focused on
the Democratic National Convention, where the leaders of America's
vaguely more liberal party met to choose the men who will endure
months of character assasination in the media, crappy meals at boring
Rotarian meetings, and painful days of inane prattle about the petty
bullshit that the freaking morons who make up the populace of this
country spend their days focusing on.
Just kidding. This is politics, after all. So maybe about 20 percent
of America's eyes were focused on L.A. For a little while. It is
summer, and "Survivor" is getting kind of good. So let's say 15
percent.
But, more importantly, among the 15 percent of Americans paying vague
attention to the happenings in downtown L.A. were 100 percent of the
Van Gogh-Goghs. We couldn't ignore such a large event in our own
backyard, could we? So we sent our intrepid multimedia team downtown
to scope out the happenings and transform the political convention
into something Americans really want: An Awards Show.
And so, the Van Gogh-Goghs are proud to present the First Annual 2000
Democratic National Convention Awards!
